Rihanna Teases 'Saturday Night Live' Skit

Last December, Rihanna appeared in an Emmy-nominated "Saturday Night Live" sketch. This week, the Loud singer will return to the "SNL" stage as the night's performer, and she promised that she will appear in another digital short.
Rihanna on SNL last year.
The video was just a glimpse into Rihanna's acting skills, which she will certainly display on the big screen in the upcoming "Battleship" movie. She told MTV News that her recent on-set experience has made her a better actor, which she hopes to show off Saturday night, live or in a pre-taped short.

Kanye West Finishes My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

There has been much speculation about which songs will make the cut for Kanye West's upcoming release, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The superstar spitter recently ended much of that speculation by tweeting a picture of the final album, which revealed the LP's track list.
"We finally done! Toast!" West short film "Runaway," such as the all-star collabo "All Of The Lights" and the final song of the movie, "Lost in the World." Some of the MC's G.O.O.D. Friday joints appear on the album, including "Monster," "Devil in a New Dress" and Yeezy's favorite "So Appalled." The MC's two official singles, "Power" and "Runaway," seem to have landed on the record as the third and ninth joints, respectively.

Even though his fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, is just weeks away from landing on shelves, Kanye West is still cranking out gratis G.O.O.D. Music joints. Although cutting-edge spitters Kid Cudi and Jay-Z appear on the track, the Chicago MC's newest offering, "The Joy," is a nod to the past, featuring nude '70s vixen Pam Grier on the MP3 art, buttery production courtesy of beat kingpin Pete Rock, vocals from Charlie Wilson and a contribution from soul icon Curtis Mayfield.

Charlie Sheen Found Nude In Restaurant, Screaming N-Word: Report

Charlie Sheen's wild Monday night in NYC. Before police were called to his suite in the Plaza, Charlie was out to dinner at Daniel with a group of friends and their escorts including porn star Capri Anderson, who charged him $12,000 for the night, according to Radar.
Capri Anderson.

"At one point he convinced Capri to go to the bathroom with him. When they got into the bathroom he started snorting cocaine and then took off his pants," a source told the website. "Charlie wanted to have sex with Capri and tried but she stopped him and demanded her $12,000. He didn't have the money on him so she left him in the bathroom!" "When the assistant opened the door, there was Charlie standing there naked with cocaine all over his face!" the source said. "He was delusional and just completely lost. Totally out of it." The assistant reportedly helped Sheen get dressed and got him out of the restaurant and back to the hotel.

Back at the Plaza, a delusional and high Charlie went off his rocker and started spewing the n-word, Radar reports. "He was punching the walls of the hotel room and going crazy and shouting 'n**ger, n**ger, n**ger for no reason at all," a source said. "It was absolutely bizarre." Police were called, and when they arrived Charlie was nude, disoriented and screaming the n-word. They threw a sheet over him and tackled him, the source said. Huffington Post

ALLEN IVERSON'S FALL FROM THE NBA

Allen Iverson? He’s headed for Turkey.
“My whole thing was being wanted, being accepted by a ballclub. That was the most important thing,” the former NBA MVP said Friday, after signing a $4 million, two-year contract with Turkish club Besiktas during a news conference at the upscale St. Regis Hotel in Manhattan.

I had a great time playing in the NBA. Who knows if I ever will again?” Iverson said. “But I wanted to show everybody I can play at a high level, not just the NBA.”

WTF? FASHION MINUTE! Oct 29th

Rosario Dawson
Also feeling blue? Rosario Dawson, who stepped out at the L.A. premiere of "Unstoppable" in a rather wrinkly Stella McCartney gown and clunky pumps. Note to Rosario: Remember to steam before hitting the red carpet!

Julianne Moore apparently had an identity crisis while picking out her attire for the London premiere of "The Kids Are All Right." While blue is definitely her color, the redheaded actress bombed in this bizarre two-toned Lanvin frock, which she accessorized with a mismatched bejeweled clutch and black sandals.

Rihanna
Also looking dowdy this week? Rihanna, who threw on a surprisingly frumpy Jean Paul Gaultier floral frock for signing copies of her book, Rihanna, in NYC.

Eva Longoria Parker has a fab figure, so we're not quite sure why the petite "Desperate Housewives" star decided to pack on the pounds with this matronly sequined top at the Rally for Kids With Cancer dinner in Hollywood. Eva, Blanche Devereaux wants her shirt back!

Lady Gaga was also scary as usual in a black lace bustier contraption while being interviewed by Anderson Cooper in London. Goofy glasses and suede platform booties completed her "edgy" look.

Melanie Brown
Although she was doing press in Australia, former Spice Girl Mel B looked more appropriately dressed for a night of fist pumping out at the Jersey Shore in her rose-adorned fringed top, tight white jeans, and hot pink, patent pumps.

Shannen Doherty
Speaking of weddings, former "Beverly Hills, 90210" bad girl Shannen Doherty, 39, was very mother of the bride in this bedazzled frock, which, unfortunately, did nothing to flatter her figure.

Jennifer Lopez looked ready to walk down the aisle in her one-shouldered Georges Chakra gown and messy updo at the 32nd Annual Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills. Do you think J.Lo's bride-like dress (complete with tulle train) was white hot ... or not?

Kate Bosworth
It is us, or does Kate Bosworth almost look like a wax figurine while posing in her orange and pink Proenza Schouler shift dress at the 27th Annual Night of Stars event in NYC? Not only does the neon frock hurt our eyes, but it appears to be decorated with silly string!

In New York, Janet Jackson also flopped at the premiere of her new film, "For Colored Girls," in a red-and-black number by Haider Ackermann. Not only were her pants way too long, but she inexplicably decided to add a chiffon train to the already overly-complicated ensemble. Less is always more.

The Kardashians' Childhood Halloween Pics

Khloe Kardashian has put together a slide show of her of her sisters dressing up for Halloween over the years. She writes on her blog:
Hi dolls. In the spirit of Halloween, I wanted to share some of my all time favorite photos from Halloweens past. Halloween is a HUGE deal for the Kardashian/Jenner clan and we always go all out. For as long as I can remember, every single one of my family members has gotten all dolled up for the holiday, ESPECIALLY Kris LOL. This year we have a new member of the fam to join in the fun... MASON! I can't wait to see what Kourt dresses little Masey as :)
Here are a few photos, see the rest of Khloe's slide show here.

Nicki Minaj Open To Lady Gaga Collaboration

Lady Gaga is no stranger to hip-hop and R&B collaborations, lending her talents to efforts from Kid Cudi, Wale and Beyoncé. While Gaga hasn't jumped on a record with rap's reigning collabo mistress, Nicki Minaj, the Young Money lyricist says she's down to change that.

During her "RapFix Live" interview, Minaj revealed she would be interested in jumping on a track with Gaga — especially if it's guaranteed to be a monster.

NBA RECAP AND BOX SCORES OCT 29TH

MIAMI (AP)—LeBron James stayed fairly quiet when the Orlando Magic questioned his competitiveness this summer.

James and his new team presented an emphatic response Friday night.
Dwyane Wade scored 26 points in Miami’s home opener, James had 15 points and seven assists and the Heat scored the first 14 points of the second half to turn a close game into a surprisingly one-sided 96-70 victory over the Magic. “They came out, they threw an uppercut, and as a team we kind of went down,” Magic center Dwight Howard said.

BOSTON (AP) Rondo had 10 points and 10 rebounds and a career-high 24 assists on Friday night to lead Boston to a 105-101 victory over the New York Knicks. It was second-most in franchise history and the most since Bob Cousy had 28 in 1959.

Google to bring Dead Sea Scrolls online

JERUSALEM – The Dead Sea Scrolls, among the world's most important, mysterious and tightly restricted archaeological treasures, are about to get Googled.

Dead Sea Scrolls

The technology giant and Israel announced Tuesday that they are teaming up to give researchers and the public the first comprehensive and searchable database of the scrolls — a 2,000-year-old collection of Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek documents that shed light on Judaism during biblical times and the origins of Christianity. For years, experts have complained that access to the scrolls has been too limited.
Once the images are up, anyone will be able to peruse exact copies of the original scrolls as well as an English translation of the text on their computer — for free. Officials said the collection, expected to be available within months, will feature sections that have been made more legible thanks to high-tech infrared technology.

Cave where the dead sea scrolls were found.
The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in the late 1940s in caves in the Judean Desert and are considered one of the greatest finds of the last century.
After the initial discovery, tens of thousands of fragments were found in 11 caves nearby. Some 30,000 of these have been photographed by the antiquities authority, along with the earlier finds. Together, they make up more than 900 manuscripts. AP

Report: Halliburton, BP knew Macondo well cement was faulty

The National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling, investigating the cause of the BP gulf oil spill,  has found evidence that Halliburton and BP had tests in hand which showed that the cement formulation used on the well was deficient and subject to failure. According to the report, Halliburton, at the time the cement was pumped in to case the Macondo well, had the results of three tests that showed the formula was likely not up to the job of sealing oil from the well bore, and none that showed this batch would hold up. We should note that one test came back after the fact showing the cement would be OK, and that BP says it never conducted a test of the cement's stability.
In short, Halliburton produced and tested cement, says the government panel, that it knew was likely to fail, sent that cement to BP anyway, and BP -- with the test results in hand -- used that faulty cement anyway. Oil and hydrocarbons leaked through the faulty cement and pooled on the deck of the oil well and then ignited, leading to the Deepwater Horizon rig's explosion, Bartlit says in his letter. The environmental consequences of the decision by Halliburton to ignore failing test results will be felt for many years in the Gulf of Mexico and those states surrounding it.

When those tests came back, someone at Halliburton should have said, "Let's put that batch on hold." Instead, they sent it along anyway. Someone at British Petroleum should have read the reports (or performed their own tests) and rejected the substandard cement. If that had happened, it is likely that those 11 men would still be alive today. The environmental damage to the fragile gulf ecosystems could have been averted, but that didn't happen. No one decided to stand up and rock the boat.
