We have now learned that the Nike Basketball “Christmas” Pack, involving new colorways of the LeBron 9, the Zoom Kobe VII and the Zoom KD IV, will release on Christmas Day, December 25, 2011. Photos of each sneaker have surfaced on the web within the past couple of days. The Nike Zoom Kobe VII, which we previously referred to as the “Cheetah”,  features animal print and a very unique color combination of violet pop, volt, inc and action red. The Nike LeBron 9 is the most traditional of the three (in terms of colorways) with its red and green scheme. Lastly, the Nike Zoom KD IV possesses a predominately metallic bronze colorup. Experts stumped by ancient Jerusalem markings

JERUSALEM (AP) — Mysterious stone carvings made thousands of years ago and recently uncovered in an excavation underneath Jerusalem have archaeologists stumped. Israeli diggers who uncovered a complex of rooms carved into the bedrock in the oldest section of the city recently found the markings: Three "V'' shapes cut next to each other into the limestone floor of one of the rooms, about 2 inches (5 centimeters) deep and 20 inches (50 centimeters) long. There were no finds to offer any clues pointing to the identity of who made them or what purpose they served.

The shapes were found in a dig known as the City of David, a politically sensitive excavation conducted by Israeli government archaeologists and funded by a nationalist Jewish group under the Palestinian neighborhood of Silwan in east Jerusalem. The rooms were unearthed as part of the excavation of fortifications around the ancient city's only natural water source, the Gihon spring. It is possible, the dig's archaeologists say, that when the markings were made at least 2,800 years ago the shapes might have accommodated some kind of wooden structure that stood inside them, or they might have served some other purpose on their own. They might have had a ritual function or one that was entirely mundane. Archaeologists faced by a curious artifact can usually at least venture a guess about its nature, but in this case no one, including outside experts consulted by Shukron and the dig's co-director, archaeologists with decades of experience between them, has any idea.

The purpose of the complex is part of the riddle. The straight lines of its walls and level floors are evidence of careful engineering, and it was located close to the most important site in the city, the spring, suggesting it might have had an important function.

BOX OFFICE REPORT: Dec 2 - 4 weekend 2011

Summit Entertainment somehow found the top spot once again with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I taking in only $16.9 million. Believe it or not, that’s actually the best three-peat performance of any Twilight installment to date despite the fact that the overall domestic numbers ($247.3 mil) is slightly down from what New Moon pulled in over the same amount of days ($255.4 mil) back in 2009. Still, you won’t find any suits over Summit complaining. Not when this first half of the last Twilight tale has a global cume of $588.3 million after 17 days of release. The budget is set at only $110 million.

Walt Disney’s revitalized Muppets property. The return of the Jim Henson characters hit their $45 million price tag in 2nd place and padded their profit margins in the same position in its sophomoric frame, pulling in another $11.2 million over the weekend. Despite a 61% drop off at the ticket counter, the latest numbers has increased their domestic gross to $56.1 million. The first two weekends has pretty much guaranteed it to become the highest-grossing film of its franchise by the end of its run, ahead of the 1979 release The Muppet Movie ($65.2 mil).  Mania
