Nike Re-Signs Michael Vick

If you recall, speculation of Michael Vick and Nike joining forces again surfaced in the fall of 2009 seeing that he was spotted multiple times in public and official workouts rocking Nike product. No official details have been released in regards to Vick’s new Nike contract, however, one thing to take note of is that the brand will become the official apparel supplier in April 2012. How do you feel about Vick and Nike coming together again? With Nike becoming the official apparel supplier in April 2012, do you see them doing big things with Vick going into next season?

adidas adiZero Rose 1.5 “Chicago Bears”

Derrick Rose’s MVP status has been undeniable throughout the entire season. Although Rose is currently wearing the adidas adiZero Crazy Light in the Indiana Pacers vs Chicago Bulls series, the adidas adiZero Rose 1.5 is the shoe he did most of his damage in throughout the regular season.

We have spotted the adidas adiZero Rose 1.5 in a unique Chicago Bears theme. This pair features a predominately navy leather upper with a secondary white tone on the heel panel, midsole and tongue. Orange accents can also be seen highlighting the tongue, heel panel and and sock liner.

The Jets, interested in Randy Moss

According to multiple league insiders, the interest the Jets have in Moss is twofold. One, it could help them weather the very real possibility of losing at least one of their three free-agent receivers: Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith. Two, it would keep Moss from returning to the Patriots, whom he is known to want to re-join.

The part about keeping Moss away from New England makes the most sense. Moss is clearly worth more to the Patriots than he is to anyone else.

In a rivalry as close and as heated as the one between the Jets and Pats, it makes sense. I don't think Moss makes the Jets any better -- their offense is miles behind New England's, Mark Sanchez has neither a rapport with Moss nor half of Tom Brady's ability, and it seems like, at best, a crapshoot on whether or not Moss would show up and play hard. But if it keeps a weapon away from the Patriots, it's probably worth doing. Yahoo.Sports

Man dies after 20-foot fall at Chicago NFL stadium

CHICAGO – Authorities say a man has died after falling at least 20 feet from a ledge at Soldier Stadium while attending a Chicago Bears game.

Chicago police say the man fell around 4:55 p.m. Sunday during the NFL matchup between the Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Chicago Fire Chief Joe Roccasalva says the man landed on a small rooftop on the outside of the stadium. Witnesses told authorities the man ran to a ledge and jumped. Roccasalva says the man was in his 20s, but his name hasn't been released.

It's the second death in a week at a major sporting arena. On Nov. 21, a 2-year-old boy fell from a luxury box at the Staples Center during a Los Angeles Lakers game. AP

Historic Night for Michael Vick

The Eagles led 35-0 after the first play of the second quarter. Vick completed his first 10 passes and finished 20 for 28 for 333 yards with four touchdowns. He also ran eight times for 80 yards and two scores, moving past Steve Young and into second place in NFL history for yards rushing by a quarterback.

The Eagles set team records for total yards in a game (592), points in a half (45) and had the biggest lead after the first quarter for any NFL road team (28-0) since at least 1950. The win moved Philadelphia (6-3) into a first-place tie with the New York Giants in the division, with both teams two games ahead of the Redskins (4-5). The Eagles are 4-0 when Vick starts and finishes the game.

The Tennessee Titans Claim Randy Moss off Waivers

The Tennessee Titans are 5-3 but haven’t played the divisional rival Indianapolis Colts or Houston Texans yet. They can still win the AFC South. Or they can miss the playoffs for a second consecutive season.

The Titans on Wednesday, landing the talented, yet twice dumped this season alone, wide receiver Randy Moss off the waiver wire. It’s a gamble, of course. Minnesota went down this road less than a month ago, trading a third-round pick to the New England Patriots for Moss. They cut him on Monday, deciding his antics weren’t worth what he was delivering on the field.

He wasn’t unproductive in Minnesota, catching 13 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns in four games. For the season he’s caught 22 passes for 313 yards and five touchdowns. He caught 13 touchdowns last season in New England, tied for the league lead.
At 33, he can still play. He’s still the guy who in September blew by New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, causing him to aggravate a hamstring injury, and made a remarkable one-handed touchdown snag. MadOne

NFL Recap: Week 8

The Dolphins extended one of the NFL’s more unusual streaks on Sunday, beating the Cincinnati Bengals 22-14 on Dan Carpenter’s five field goals and a late interception that kept Miami unbeaten on the road while still winless at home.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Brett Favre lay motionless on the Gillette Stadium turf, blood spurting from his gray-stubbled chin, his head woozy, the feeling temporarily gone from his flushed face. For the Minnesota Vikings and their befuddled fans, it was a grisly and ghastly Halloween scene. Minnesota lost 28-18 to the New England Patriots.
