New TV Series 'Single Ladies' Starring Stacey Dash, LisaRaye

Producers for Queen Latifah's TV show "Single Ladies" have revealed details about the upcoming scripted series, which stars Stacey Dash, LisaRaye McCoy and Charity Shea.

"Single Ladies," which will air on
VH1, is the network's first, scripted-hour long series to ever air.

The comedic drama, which is being executive produced by Queen Latifah and her business partner Shakim Compere, revolves around three best friends, who live in Atlanta.

Val (Stacy Dash) is a rising fashion mogul, who seeks a true partner. Her friend Keisha (LisaRaye) is a former video dancer, who believes in making her own money and choosing her man with her head and not her heart. Their friend April (Charity Shea) appears to be married to the "perfect" man with the "perfect" marriage, but things aren't really what they seem.

The cast is rounded out by Christina "Kassandra Clementi), who is a free-spirited, wild-child, fashion intern.

"My partner Shakim Compere and I are excited our production company Flavor Unit is working with VH1 on their first venture into the hour-long scripted series genre," Queen Latifah said. "'Single Ladies' is a sexy and smart show…something that we feel TV has been missing for far too long and we knew VH1 was the perfect home for it."

VH1 ordered 10 episodes of the one-hour series, which will premiere on May 30th at 9:00 PM. The show will then air regularly on Mondays, starting on June 6th at 9:00PM.
