Remember your buddy who had the police scanner at home? Now you can recapture the feeling of listening in, and do so on an Android phone with the Scanner Radio app.
Similar apps exist for iPhones as well. In the case of Scanner radio, you get feeds from police scanners all over the world, uploaded to the Internet. Some of the iPhone apps are even free.
