LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been replaced as the star of the Linda Lovelace biopic, "Inferno," according to E! News. "We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan," "Inferno" director Matthew Wilder reportedly told the website. "We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard." Until now, Matthew has been vigilant in his support of Lindsay, insisting that the actress' talent warranted putting the production on hold.
"We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support," Matthew told the site. "Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her -- and some other issues -- have made it impossible for us to go forward." Lindsay is currently undergoing court-ordered rehab treatment, under the direction of the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
