Mos Def Has Reoccurring Role In Showtime Series 'Dexter'
(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actor Mos Def will have a featured role in the upcoming season of "Dexter."
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Mos Def will star as an ex-con who has found god, but is constantly surrounded by violence. Showtime will air 12 episodes of "Dexter," which stars Michael C. Hall in the lead role of Dexter Morgan, who works for the Miami Metro Police Department by day while moonlighting as a serial killer of other murderers. Production on the sixth season of the Emmy Award winning series "Dexter" will begin in Los Angeles in June. Mos Def is no stranger to television acting. He has starred in TV shows like "House M.D.," "The Cosby Mysteries," "NYPD Blue."
Mos also serves as host of Russell Simmons' Def Poetry Jam.
