BOND 23 Release Set?
Just one day after MGM officially filed under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection laws and there's already James Bond 23 news shooting across the wire. Bloomberg (via ComingSoon) is reporting the producers are setting aside a release date of November 2012 for the next 007 adventure. That's all we have to go on so far but the report says the future Bond plan is a bit ambitious with suggestions that further sequels are going to be set for every other year after. As opposed to the three-year waits we've seen at times this past decade.
We're still in the early stages of any 23rd film's development, with Daniel Craig seemingly being the only one confirmed at this point, but a release of November 2012 would mean that production would need to be fast-tracked as soon as possible. At last official glance, director Sam Mendes was attached to helm the next tale from a script by Peter Morgan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. We have yet to hear whether Mendes is still on board or whether he dropped out while waiting for the MGM issue to resolve but expect a confirmation one way or the other soon if the release date is accurate.
