On the heels of showing off his film at the European Film Market in Berlin, horror director Darren Lynn Bousman has revealed the first teaser trailer for his next thriller, 11-11-11. Check it out below courtesy of Shock Til You Drop. Maniacs will know Bousman's name with his previous directorial efforts in the Saw series by helming the second, third and fourth installments as well as Repo! The Genetic Opera. He also has the Mother's Day remake hitting theaters on April 1, 2011. He revealed some snapshots and this first teaser on his official blog.
Plot Concept: The story is inspired by the real-life organization that believes the recurrence of the numbers 11:11 are of spiritual significance and a link to spirit guardians. The script specificially deals with 11 gates of Heaven and how, on November 11th, 2011, the final gate will open for 49 minutes.
11-11-11 is aptly scheduled to be released November 11, 2011.
