Michael Jackson's Neverland Will Be Recreated in Las Vegas

Cirque du Soleil president Daniel Lamarre announced that the Neverland ranch recreation would feature a “Jackson-themed lounge, an interactive memorabilia museum and a theater.”

Jackson’s former home will be recreated at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino and is set to open in 2013.

Cirque du Soleil has also developed a show that celebrates the King of Pop’s legacy and is the most expensive show in the French company’s history. Michael Jackson, The Immortal World Tour is set to open in October in Montreal and hit 30 U.S. cities before travelling to Europe. In Las Vegas, Cirque producers plan to open a more intimate, theatrical show at the new theater. The cost of both projects will be shared by Jackson’s estate and Cirque, as each own 50 percent of the projects.
